Arthur brings four decades of experience across Australian public policy, politics, economic affairs, diplomacy, industry and the private sector. He served as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States from 2020 to 2023, following a distinguished parliamentary career as Senator for New South Wales and Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science. His experience spans economic policy, industry and innovation, national security, critical minerals, international relations and Australia-US engagement, bringing a valuable perspective to the conversations taking place at #CapTech2026. About The Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO The Hon Arthur Sinodinos AOLeading expert on Australian Public Policy, Politics and Banking Arthur Sinodinos has held some of the most significant economic, political and diplomatic roles in Australian public life. He served as Australia’s Ambassador to the United States across the Trump and Biden administrations and was closely involved in Australia’s engagement around AUKUS, the Quad and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. Before becoming Ambassador, Arthur served as Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Cabinet Secretary and Assistant Treasurer, as well as Senator for New South Wales from 2011 to 2019. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Economic Adviser to Prime Minister John Howard and later became the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, a position he held for nine years. His career has also extended into the private sector, including roles with Goldman Sachs JB Were and National Australia Bank, alongside various corporate appointments. Today, Arthur is Chairman of Hypersonix Launch Systems and continues to contribute to conversations around technology, investment, strategic industries and Australia’s international economic relationships.
