Former CEO of the Future Fund and Institutional Investor
Mark Burgess is Chairman – Investment Committee and Director of one of Australia’s largest institutional investors. He has built a career at the highest levels of global investment management. He previously led Australia’s Future Fund and has chaired investment committees and served on the boards of major institutional funds.
His international career includes serving as Executive Vice-Chairman and CEO, EMEA, Credit Suisse Asset Management, as well as Global CIO for Equities and Multi-Asset, overseeing portfolios of significant global scale. He has also held senior investment leadership roles with American Express Asset Management, Colonial First State and Bankers Trust. Today, his portfolio spans institutional investment, capital markets, insurance, venture capital and global economic policy.
