As Australia’s former Minister for Trade, Investment and Tourism, he led negotiations for major Free Trade Agreements with China, Japan and South Korea, alongside the 12-country Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Singapore.
Today, through The Robb Group, he provides strategic advice and sources investment opportunities for two-way trade and investment between Australia and the Asia Pacific.
Owen Hegarty OAM
Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, EMR Capital
Owen Hegarty brings more than five decades of experience across the global mining and investment landscape.
After 25 years with Rio Tinto, Owen founded and led Oxiana, taking it from a junior explorer to a major Asia-Pacific producer. He later co-founded EMR Capital, where he continues to apply his experience as an operator, investor and business leader across mining and investment opportunities worldwide.
His career has been defined by identifying opportunity, deploying capital, and building businesses through changing market conditions.
